Terms and Conditions

By placing a reservation through our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Bookings

Reservations placed through our website are mutually binding. If a change in your reservation becomes necessary, below rules regarding changing or canceling your reservation will apply. Payment is required in full at the time of placing your reservation.

2. Changes

Life happens – if you won’t be able to visit Rothenburg as planned, we are here to help.

We can move your reservation at no cost up until seven days before your booked stay begins. Extra costs may occur if the new reservation date falls on a day with increased room pricing (high season, weekends), or if we need to move your reservation to a different room (e.g., if the original room is unavailable on that date).
If you must change your reservation less than seven days before your arrival, a fee of $55 will be charged to your credit card. This fee is required as it is unlikely that we will be able to rent out the apartment to other guests at such short notice.

If you must change your reservation, but are unsure when you will be able to come in the future, we can issue a voucher for the same room and length of stay. Vouchers are valid for two years from the originally booked arrival date. This service comes at a fee of $25 (in addition to a possible increase in price and/or a fee for last-minute changes).

It may be possible, though it would be subject to availability, to switch your reserved room to a different one up until three days before your arrival (e.g., if the number of guests has changed). If there is a difference in pricing, it will be charged upon your arrival.

3. Cancellations

We will refund 100% of the amount paid for cancellations made within 24 hours after placing the booking, minus any fees that are charged to us through the booking process. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after those 24 hours; changes to your reservation remain available.

4. Force Majeure

If it becomes impossible for you to keep your arrival date due to generally accepted conditions of Force Majeure, or if we are unable to offer the reserved room due to such conditions (e.g., in case of official travel restrictions), a partial or full courtesy refund of the paid amount might be issued. Courtesy refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, unless a refund is required by law.

Please note that cancelled flights or events are not considered to be conditions of Force Majeure in the industry, and, therefore, do not qualify as a reason for a refund. Exceptions might apply if the booked room is part of a travel package, or if the room was booked in cooperation with the organizers of a canceled event.

If your reserved room becomes unavailable (e.g., through fire damage, overbooking, etc), and we are unable to provide comparable or better accommodation with us or another nearby provider, a full refund will be issued.

5. House Rules

By placing a reservation through our website, you agree to note and comply with our house rules. The current version of our house rules can be viewed and downloaded at any time here; these rules are subject to change without notice.

6. Communication and Privacy

By placing a reservation through our website, you consent to communication with us via phone call, text message, email, or messaging service (such as WhatsApp) for the reason of fulfilling the reservation (e.g., for questions regarding the reservation or for organizing the key handover). Your personal information will not be shared by us with any third party, except though your explicitly consent (e.g. for organizing breakfast or tours).

Furthermore, you agree to the general terms and privacy conditions of our website.
